Verna Gillis' one older woman's TALES FROM GERIASSIC PARK - On the Verge of Extinction won best comedic script in 2014 at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC. 

Her most recent book is
An Insight Job.


She is the founder/director of SOUNDSCAPE (1979-1984) which was  the first multi cultural performance venue in NYC.

At different times she managed the careers of Yomo Toro, Youssou Ndour, Salif Keita , Carlinhos Brown and Roswell Rudd.
